The Library Board of Trustees for the Dalton-Whitfield Public Library consists of members appointed to approve matters of finance, policy, planning, and personnel and to act as advocates for the library to the general public. The Board hires a library Director to administer the daily operations of the library. Title 20, chapter 5, article 43, Georgia code, annotated.
All board meetings are open to the public except those designated as 'called' or 'executive session'. Regional meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of January, April, July and October.
